AKAIのMPCシリーズから、MPC5000の発表です。巷で次のシリーズは、MPC3500という噂もありましたが、いい意味で裏切ってくれたAKAI。

外観は、MPC4000よりコンパクトで、MPC2500に近い印象。
機能面でいうと、64-VoiceのDrum/Phrase Sampleや、8-Track HDD Recording、 40種のEffects、Pre-amp内蔵Turntable入力って凄い。

時代とともに進化していくMPCシリーズですが、まだMPC3000が現役で頑張ってくれているので、高みの見物程度で。そりゃー欲しいよ。
